To keep your tattoo vibrant, crisp and healthy, keep these in mind during the healing process.
✓ Do
Keep the first cover (film/bandage) on for as long as the studio recommends.
After removing the cover, wash your hands; gently clean the tattoo with lukewarm water + fragrance-free soap.
Pat dry by dabbing (not rubbing) with a clean towel.
Apply a thin layer of moisturiser / aftercare cream 2–3 times a day.
Wear loose, cotton clothing in the first few days.
When it itches, gently tap it (pat).
✕ Don't
Don't pick at scabs or scratch (it causes scarring/colour loss).
Don't go in pools, the sea, bathtubs or saunas for the first 3–4 weeks.
No direct sun or tanning beds until it heals (use SPF once healed).
Don't smother the tattoo by applying too much cream.
Don't wear tight / chafing clothing.
In the first few days, avoid sweat-inducing exercise and contact with dirty hands.
⚠️ Until your tattoo is fully healed (roughly 3–4 weeks), stay away from sun, pools/sea and friction. Early exposure can lead to scarring and colour loss.
